Boston College Indicted For Betraying Interviewees

The following piece by Chris Bray, an historian and blogger based in Los Angeles, is required reading for all those following the saga of the Boston College subpoenas. I thoroughly recommend it. It charts a disgraceful and shameful chapter in the history of American academic life.

Chris has done a fine job in getting this right. Had BC possessed a modicum of his integrity we would not be in the position we are. Their abandonment of an essentail tenet of academia is utterly depressing. Has their ever been a university outside of dictatorships that behaved so unscrupulously and ruthlessly in burning its researchers and sources?
